In the evening of 16th April, Mr Zhang Jiwei, the Secretary of Jiyuan City, introduced the history of Jiyuan and noted that the story of Yugong Yi Shan (The old man who moved the mountain) happened here. Mr Zhang hoped that through the story “Yugong Yi Shan”, people would learn more about Chinese history as well as Henan province and Jiyuan City. In the morning of 17th April, the representatives of Sunwah Group, Xinxiang City People’s Committee, Henan University of Economics and Law, had a meeting to exchange views on jointly building an international university in Henan province. Sunwah Group, as the investor and provider of educational services, will cooperate with Henan University of Economics and Law to jointly promote the construction of a new campus. Sunwah Group will also take advantages of its partnerships with many top universities around the world to introduce international-quality education to Henan University of Economics and Law.
In the afternoon of the same day, Mr Liu Rongzeng, Vice President of Henan University of Economics and Law, and Mr Johnson Choi, Executive Director of Sunwah Group, signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement. Mr Zou Pan, Director of Sunwah Onshine Education; Mr Cheng Xiangfeng, General Manager of Ta Kung Wen Wei Media Group; and leaders of Jiyuan City and Xinxiang City witnessed the Strategic Cooperation Agreement Signing Ceremony between Sunwah Group and Henan University of Economics and Law.

In an interview after the Signing Ceremony, Mr Johnson Choi confirmed that Sunwah Group will actively work with local authorities and universities in Henan to promote educational reform as well as attract high-quality educational resources to Henan.
