Sunwah – In the morning of 20^th December 2018, at the office of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam (MARD), Mr Johnson Choi, Executive Director of Sunwah Group and General Director of Sunwah Vietnam, led a delegation from China Cooperation Liaoning Commodity Exchange Group to meet with Mr Nguyen Xuan Cuong, Minister of MARD. The Minister warmly welcomed the delegation to visit and explore cooperation opportunities in agriculture in Vietnam. He highly appreciated Sunwah Group’s effort and contribution to the promotion of exporting Vietnamese agricultural products to Chinese market as well as acted as a bridge between Vietnamese and Chinese companies.

In the evening, the delegation arrived in HCMC to attend the Dinner hosted by Mr Tran Thanh Nam, Deputy Minister of MARD. The Dinner also had the participation of many top enterprises and associations in agriculture sector. After the Dinner, the Deputy Minister and representatives of several enterprises and associations paid a visit to Sun Wah Tower, one of the leading grade-A buildings in HCMC which was developed by Sunwah Group. Mr Tran Thanh Nam were deeply impressed by Sunwah Group’s history and achievements in Vietnam over nearly 50 years. He also shared that in 2019, he will lead a business delegation to visit China’s Northeastern region, notably Liaoning province, to gain deeper understanding of Chinese market as well as to explore cooperation opportunities in import – export trading of agricultural products between the two countries.

In the morning of 21^st December, the delegation attended the Vietnam – China Business Forum on Exporting Agricultural Products organized by the Agro Processing and Market Development Department in HCMC. Mr Tran Thanh Nam, Deputy Minister of MARD, officiated the Forum, along with the participation of Mr Dao Viet Anh, Trade Counsellor of the Vietnamese Embassy in China, and representatives of top agricultural businesses and associations in  Southern region of Vietnam. At the Forum, Vietnamese enterprises had the chance to gain considerable understanding of Chinese market’s demand for Vietnamese agricultural products as well as to share difficulties in exporting to China.

On 22^nd – 23^rd December, the delegation paid a visit to Dong Giao Company, one of the oldest and largest processing and exporting companies in Vietnam; and attended the Opening Ceremony of MNS Meat Ha Nam Meat Processing Complex in Ha Nam City.
