Sunwah – On the evening of 4 August 2022, Dr Jonathan Choi, Chairman of Sunwah Group, had a meeting with Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) Mr Tran Thanh Nam, and leaders of Agro Processing and Market Development Department, the National Agro-Forestry-Fisheries Quality Assurance Department and Agro Trade Promotion Department.

At the meeting, Dr Jonathan Choi briefed about Sunwah’s 50-year history of development in Vietnam and joint projects with MARD. In addition, Dr Choi shared about upcoming projects in agriculture including supporting the exports of Vietnamese agricultural products to the Chinese market via online Vietnamese shops on Chinese e-commerce platforms.

Deputy Minister Tran Thanh Nam highly appreciated Sunwah Group’s support for MARD over the years, notably the arrangement for a 70-member delegation‘s visit to Liaoning province (China) in 2019. He welcomed the Group’s upcoming agriculture projects and promised to support them. He also expressed his wishes for Sunwah Group to organize more training courses on high-tech agriculture and Chinese market information sessions for Vietnamese farmers, as well as support the establishment of agricultural logistics centers in Can Tho and Quang Ninh, promoting the export of high-quality Vietnamese agricultural products to international markets.
