Sunwah Vietnam support the Autumn Economic Forum 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City

Sunwah – From 25 to 27 November 2025, Dr. Jonathan Choi, Chairman of Sunwah Group, and Mr. Jesse Choi, CEO of Sunwah Southeast Asia, participated in the 2025 Autumn Economic Forum (Ho Chi Minh Economic Forum – HEF). The event took place from November 25 to 27, 2025, under the direction of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee and hosted by the Ho Chi Minh City Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (HCMC C4IR), with the support of various central government agencies and the World Economic Forum (WEF). This is one of WEF’s three major international programs in 2025, alongside the WEF in Davos, Switzerland, and the WEF in Tianjin, China.

HEF 2025 brought together more than 1,500 delegates, including government leaders from multiple countries, major corporations from over 30 nations, and more than 75 global centers for science, technology, and innovation. With over 55 years of operation in Vietnam, Sunwah Group is honored to be one of the distinguished international corporations accompanying the Forum.

On November 25, Mr. Jesse Choi attended the CEO 500 – Tea Connect event, chaired by Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính and Ho Chi Minh City leaders. He was one of ten international representatives presenting initiatives to support Ho Chi Minh City’s strategic development toward high technology and sustainability.

On the same day, Dr. Jonathan Choi joined a private meeting with Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính and major financial and investment organizations to discuss the proposal for establishing the Ho Chi Minh City International Financial Center. Dr. Choi emphasized that Sunwah, with its extensive network of partners in Hong Kong and many other countries, stands ready to share experience, connect experts, and promote international collaboration for Ho Chi Minh City. The Prime Minister highly appreciated Sunwah’s contributions over its 55 years of engagement in Vietnam and affirmed that the Government will continue to support the Group’s investment activities in Vietnam.

On November 26, Dr. Choi and Mr. Jesse Choi attended a luncheon hosted by Deputy Prime Minister Bùi Thanh Sơn and Ho Chi Minh City leaders, with the participation of ministers and key figures from the United States, Australia, Finland, South Korea, Malaysia, Cambodia, and many innovation-driven enterprises. Dr. Choi proposed three initiatives for Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City: developing a green-powered data center and supercomputing facility for AI; training human resources in AI, semiconductors, robotics, and smart manufacturing; and promoting sustainable urban mobility with a network of smart shared e-bicycles. These proposals received positive recognition from Government and Ho Chi Minh City leaders.

On November 27, Sunwah collaborated with the Guangdong – Hong Kong – Macao Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance, HCMC C4IR, and the Consulate General of China in Ho Chi Minh City to organize the Vietnam – China Business Connectivity Forum, which attracted more than 200 participants, including senior officials from both countries. Sunwah also invited a delegation of nearly 30 government and business leaders from Nanhai (Foshan), Nanning (Guangxi), as well as other Chinese enterprises.

At the event, Sunwah and HCMC C4IR signed a strategic cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening research, technology transfer, and the development of the innovation ecosystem between China and Vietnam. Mr. Jesse Choi represented Sunwah in signing the agreement together with Mr. Nguyen Duc Huy, Deputy Director of HCMC C4IR.
