Sunwah Group has started its seafood processing business in Vietnam in 1970. The Group operated three seafood processing plants in Saigon, Nha Trang and Kien Giang, and was one of the biggest seafood exporters in Vietnam.

In 1989, when Vietnam announced its Open Door Policy, Sunwah Group was one of the first companies to set up a representative office in Ho Chi Minh City. Today, the Group still operates seafood processing and trading in Vietnam.
