Asean Top News — On 25 March 2020, Dr Jonathan Choi, Standing Committee Member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of Sunwah Group, recently donated 50,000 pairs of medical gloves and 2,000 bottles of hand sanitizers to the Seoul Metropolitan Government. This is the second donation from Dr Choi to Korea after his donation of 12,000 medical masks to the City Government of Daegu on 18 March.

Dr Jonathan Choi was appointed as Honorary Ambassador of Foreign Investment by the Korean Government since 2015. Throughout the years, he has contributed to the economic and trade cooperation between China and Korea as well as organized various events to promote cultural exchanges between the two countries.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, Dr Jonathan Choi has made several donations of anti-pandemic medical supplies to many cities in China including Wuhan, Beijing, Tianjin, Shenyang and to other countries and regions such as Hong Kong, Canada, Germany, Malaysia, Vietnam and Cambodia. The total donation amounted to over 4 million HKD.
