Sunwah – On 28 March 2024, Sunwah Group (Vietnam) was pleased to welcome a group of 70 students and professors from the BRI EMBA Delegation from Tsinghua University PBC School of Finance, to visit and learn about its activities in Vietnam, as well as the market landscape and investment potential of the country. Mr. Ter Leong Yap, Executive Chairman of Sunsuria Berhad and Former Chairman of Malaysia Chinese Chamber of Commerce, is the leader of the delegation.

At the event, Mr. Jesse Choi, Regional Director of Sunwah Group in ASEAN and CEO of Sunwah Innovations, warmly welcomed the delegation at Sunwah Innovation Center and Sunwah Vietnam Headquarters and shared insights into the Group’s local businesses over the past 55 years.

Mr. Michael Kokalari, Chief Economist at VinaCapital, delivered a presentation on Vietnam’s macro-economy. Mrs. Meir Tlebalde, CEO of Sunwah Kirin, also shared her insights on tax and legal policies and challenges in Vietnam, as well as gave valuable advice to FDI companies that want to enter the Vietnam markets.

Mr. Ter Leong Yap, on behalf of the delegation, expressed strong appreciation for the valuable insights shared by Sunwah Group and VinaCapital. They are keen on fostering collaboration with Sunwah Group to explore and enhance business activities in Vietnam.
