Signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation framework agreement between Sunwah Group and Vina T&T

Sunwah – On the morning of 14 November 2022, the signing ceremony of strategic cooperation agreement between Sunwah Group and Vina T&T, one of the largest fruit exporters in Vietnam to officially export Vietnamese durian to the Chinese market was held successfully in Ho Chi Minh City. Mr Jesse Choi, Regional Director of Sunwah Group in Southeast Asia, Director of Sunwah Vietnam; Mr Nguyen Dinh Tung, General Director of Vina T&T; Mr Le Thanh Tung, Deputy Director of the Planting Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam; Mr Le Viet Binh, General Representative and Deputy Director of the Southern Region of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam; Mr Tran Phu Lu, Deputy Manager of the Investment and Trade Promotion Center of Ho Chi Minh City; Mr Nguyen Thanh Binh, Chairman of Vietnam Vegetable and Fruit Association and leaders of the agricultural departments of various provinces and cities attended the event. Representative of Sunwah Group in Hanoi, Ms Le Thu Lua and Deputy General Director of Vina T&T, Mr Nguyen Dinh Muoi, on behalf of both sides, signed the agreement.

Vina T&T and Sunwah International Trade Supply Chain Management (Guangdong) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Sunwah Group, have agreed to cooperate, focusing on promoting the export of a series of primary agricultural products in Vietnam, such as durian, jackfruit, dragon fruit, passion fruit, mango, purple sweet potato, and small chili, among which, durian will be the star product, to China market under the co-brand name of both sides. The agreement will accelerate Vietnamese durian to attain more market share in China. Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr Jesse Choi introduced Sunwah Group’s business areas as well as Sunwah’s development and contribution to Vietnam over the past 50 years. In his sharing, he mentioned that, in August this year, Dr Jonathan Choi, Chairman of Sunwah Group, met with Mr Tran Thanh Nam, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and during the meeting, Dr Choi expressed that he would actively assist Vietnam in exporting agricultural products to the Chinese market. Mr Jesse Choi stressed that the signing of this agreement implements the group’s commitment to strive for Vietnamese durian to occupy a particular market share in China. As one of the largest and most professional fruit export enterprises in the country, Vina T&T will be Sunwah’s strategic partner in this area. The joint efforts of the two parties can mutually promote the development and growth of Vietnam’s agricultural product exports and contribute to the exchange and development of agricultural product trade between the two countries.

At the ceremony, the leaders of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development expressed their high recognition of the strength and resources of Sunwah Group. They also looked forward to Sunwah’s international trade experience and ability to join hands with Vina T&T to promote the high-quality agricultural products of Vietnam and significantly help durian enter the vast market of China in a more professional and large-scale way.
