Sunwah Group continues to accompany the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam to promote the export of Vietnamese agricultural products to the Chinese market

Sunwah – On the morning of March 29, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam (MARD), Mr. Jesse Choi, Director of Sunwah Group and CEO of Sunwah Innovations led the working delegation including with representatives from China of Sunwah International Trade Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd (Guangdong), Sunwah Pu-erh National Tea Company (Yunnan), and Sunwah Group in GBA region. The delegation visited and had a meeting with Mr. Tran Thanh Nam, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam.

Attending the meeting, on the side of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, there were also the attendance of Mr. Hoang Trung, Director of Plant Protection Department; Mr. Nguyen Nhu Tiep, Director of the Department of Quality, Processing and Market Development; Mr. Pham Ngoc Mau, Deputy Director of International Cooperation Department; Mr. Hoang Van Du, Deputy Director of Agricultural Trade Promotion Center; along with several other leaders. On the side of Sunwah Group, there were the attendance of Ms. Janice Le, Chief Representative of Sunwah Group in Hanoi; Ms. Jade Zhang, Chief Representative and Executive Secretary General of The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area (GBA) Entrepreneurs Union; Ms. Nguyen Thu Huong, Deputy Head of Representative and Deputy Head of External Relations Department, Sunwah Group in GBA region; Mr. Liu Min Yuan, Deputy General Director of Sunwah Group Southwest Region and General Director of Sunwah Pu-erh National Tea Company (Yunnan); Mr. Leo Liu, Sales Manager, Sunwah Group in GBA Region; Mr. Liu Tao, General Director of Sunwah International Trade Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd (Guangdong); Mr. Yin Xiao Feng, Director of Sunwah International Trade Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd (Guangdong) and some other members, attended and discussed the contents surrounding export promotion support for Vietnamese agricultural products enter into the Chinese domestic market in the near future.

Speaking on behalf of Sunwah Group (Hong Kong) at the meeting, Mr. Jesse Choi proposed four main cooperation contents with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, including: (1) petitioning the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to support simplifying export procedures of agricultural products to the Chinese market; (2) supporting the promotion of tea and coffee cooperation between Vietnam and China; (3) coordinate in organizing the conference to promote agricultural product exports to Yunnan province (China); and (4) cooperate with Sunwah Group to build and promote the brand of Vietnamese agricultural products in the Chinese market.

Representatives of Sunwah Group at GBA Region, Mr. Liu Lei and Mr. Liu Tao also reported at the meeting on a number of activities to promote the export of Vietnamese agricultural products to the Chinese market of the group, and also proposed some solution to improve efficiency in promotion. Specifically, in terms of products such as fruit, rice and seafood, Sunwah Group hopes that the two sides will not only do trade, but also actively implement exchange promotion activities by offline, online and outsourcing channels. Mr. Liu Lei also shared that, through cooperation with state-owned companies that own large-scale consumption chains in China, Sunwah Group is fully capable of becoming a channel for consuming Vietnamese agricultural products on a large scale in many provinces in China. On behalf of Sunwah Group, Mr. Liu Tao also expressed his wish that the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development would continue to connect Sunwah Group to meet other big and prestigious partners in Vietnam in the field of durian to ensure an abundant and stable supply of this fruit to exploit the vast market of Sunwah Group in China. In addition, he also hopes that in the future, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development can support Sunwah Group to be licensed to participate in the construction of durian growing area codes and packaging facilities in Vietnam. Thereby, it will further be contributing to ensure a stable supply of Vietnamese-brand durian fruit for Sunwah Group in the Chinese market.

Regarding tea promotion activities, Mr. Liu Min Yuan, Deputy General Director of Sunwah Group Southwest Region, General Director of Sunwah Pu-erh National Tea Company (Yunnan, China) shared with the leaders of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development about the business with tea. Sunwah Group has its own experience and ability to build an ancient Pu-erh tea brand in Yunnan province. Thereby, he also expressed his desire to support the development of the ancient tea brand in Vietnam, through a number of main activities such as: (1) training in processing techniques for ancient tea leaves; (2) designing a program to preserve ancient tea trees; (3) supporting the promotion of Vietnamese ancient tea consumption in the Chinese market; and (4) developing tea culture tourism in Vietnam according to the model of tea culture tourism in Yunnan province.

Speaking on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development at the meeting, Deputy Minister Mr. Tran Thanh Nam and leaders of MARD in turn shared information, views, assessments and commitments to support businesses of Sunwah Group. Specifically, the Deputy Minister pledged to support large corporations such as Sunwah Group in promoting agricultural products like durian, seafood or tea to the Chinese market. Forms of support include: (1) connecting Sunwah Group to large and reputable partners in Vietnam; (2) assisting in facilitating the promotion of agricultural products to the Chinese market; (3) connecting Sunwah Group to a number of localities to combine deployment and development of tea culture tourism; and (4) coordinate with Sunwah Group to periodically organize a conference to promote agricultural exports to Yunnan province (China). The Deputy Minister also expressed his recognition of Sunwah Group’s great efforts and support in Vietnam’s agriculture over the past time, and hoped that under the leadership of Dr. Jonathan Choi, Chairman of Sunwah Group as well as Mr. Jesse Choi, Director of Sunwah Group in Vietnam, and also other leaders of the group, along with Sunwah Group’s strong resources in China, the cooperation projects between the Ministry and Sunwah Group will be deployed and reaped with great results as soon as possible.
