Sunwah Group cooperated with Vietnamese government to promote tourism in Chinese northeastern province

Wenweipo – On 29th June 2018, the “Vietnam – China (Liaoning) Cultural, Tourism and Trade Exchange” was organized in the Sunwah Shenyang International Financial Center (Liaoning province, China) to introduce the Vietnamese country and people to local residents in northeastern region of China. The Exchange was jointly organised by the Vietnamese Embassy in China, Vietnamese Ministry of Culture – Sport – Tourism, Liaoning Provincial Government and Sunwah Group.
Furthermore, at the Exchange, Sunwah Group acted as a bridge between Vietnam and Liaoning to promote cultural – economic exchanges through the “Belt and Road” initiative. In his speech at the event, Dr Jonathan Choi, Standing Committee Member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Chairman of the Hong Kong Chinese General Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of Sunwah Group, shared that Sunwah Group has operated in Shenyang and Vietnam for many years and contributed greatly to the cooperation between two sides.

Dr Jonathan Choi highlighted, “In recent years, Sunwah Group has been actively promoting the strengths of Hong Kong as an international financial center with abundant capital, skilled personnel and professional services to support the development in Liaoning province and Vietnam. In the coming time, Sunwah Group will continue promoting the relationship among Liaoning, Vietnam and other countries along the “Belt and Road” through cultural exchanges and economic – trade cooperation.
Dr Choi also shared, China and Vietnam are actively developing the “Belt and Road” initiative through the promotion of cooperation in economic, production, investment, infrastructure development, finance, etc. as well as enhancing exchanges in culture, education and tourism. The activities organized by Vietnamese government are one of the specific measures to promote exchanges between the two countries.
In his opening speech at the Exchange, Vietnamese Ambassador to China, Mr Dang Minh Khoi, affirmed that the Vietnam – China comprehensive strategic partnership grew stably and actively last year. Ambassador Khoi greatly appreciated Dr Jonathan Choi and Sunwah Group’s support in organizing the Exchange.

Ambassador Khoi noted, “Dr Jonathan Choi is always a good friend of Vietnam who contributes greatly to the socio – economic development of the country”. He confirmed that Vietnam always highly welcomes and creates favourable conditions for Chinese firms to do business in the country, with priority given to hi-tech and environmentally-friendly projects that pay attention to workers’ welfare and community activities.
