Sunwah Group donated 20,000 medical masks to the Cambodian Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport

Jianhua Daily – In the morning of 24th March 2020, Sunwah Group donated 20,000 medical masks to the Cambodian Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport to help the country overcome the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Handover Ceremony took place at the Ministry’s Office with the participant of Minister Hang Chuon Naron and Mr Gilber Tsui, General Manager of Sunwah Cambodia.

Mr Gilber Tsui shared that Sunwah Group has been doing business in Cambodia for over 24 years and witnessed and taken part in many changes in the country. In the coming time, Sunwah Group will donate more medical masks to other government agencies to support the country in combating the COVID-19 epidemic as well as show Sunwah’s commitment and long-term presence in Cambodia. Chairman of Sunwah Group, Dr Jonathan Choi noted that, “Sunwah Group firmly believes in the further development of Cambodia. We will always work with the Government and people to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic and contribute the development of Cambodia.”

Minister of Education, Youth and Sport, Mr Hang Chuon Naron highly appreciated Sunwah’s contributions to Cambodia. He also shared that recently the Group has signed an MOU to donate 500,000 USD to develop technology in education sector and promote entrepreneurship in young Cambodians. As the country is facing scarce medical resource, 20,000 medical masks donated by Sunwah will play a vital role in reducing the risk of infection for teachers in 25 provinces and cities in Cambodia.
