Sunwah Group launched Sunwah Puer tea processing plant in Yunan, China

Sunwah – On 12th August 2017, Dr Jonathan Choi, Chairman of Sunwah Group and Chairman of the Hong Kong Chinese General Chamber of Commerce (CGCC), led a delegation from CGCC to the City of Puer (Yunan province, China) to attend the launch of the newly established Sunwah Puer tea processing plant invested by Sunwah Group.

Sunwah will deepen cooperation with the City of Puer

During the Ceremony, Dr Jonathan Choi said, “Sunwah will actively participate in the “Belt and Road” development. The ancient Tea Horse Road in the southwest region was an important part of the Silk Road. Being the starting point of the Tea Horse Road, the City of Puer possesses regional advantages in terms of natural resources and investment opportunities. Sunwah is fully confident in the city’s potential for development.”

Sunwah Group will strengthen its collaboration with the city’s authority and enterprises in Puer in the areas of agricultural specialty products, health foods as well as tourism, finance, public affairs and education in order to contribute to the City of Puer’s economic – social improvement.

Sunwah Group is also planning to build a project named “Sunwah Puer Tea Resort” on the 700 ha of land adjacent to the Huang Long Mountain where the world largest organic tea plantation is located. Eight areas will be developed including tea and flower gardens, Chinese medicinal herbs gardens, luxury resorts, and fruit gardens with a total investment up to 42 million USD.
