(27/08/2026) From August 26 to 27, 2026, in Hanoi, Sunwah Group and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance (GBA Alliance) organized a series of activities connecting the Vietnam–China AI and Digital Economy Business Delegation with Vietnamese government agencies, innovation institutions, and leading technology companies.

The delegation was led by Mr. Jesse Choi, President of the Vietnam Chapter of GBA Alliance, Director of Sunwah Group, and Regional President of ASEAN. Participating companies represented a wide range of sectors, including artificial intelligence, data centers, new energy, smart manufacturing, e-commerce, robotics, and computing infrastructure.

Connecting Vietnam’s Technology and Investment Ecosystem

On August 26, the delegation held a series of meetings with FPT Smart Cloud, the Foreign Investment Agency under the Ministry of Finance, Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park, and the National Innovation Center (NIC).

At FPT Smart Cloud, the two sides discussed potential cooperation in AI, cloud computing, computing power, and data centers. FPT introduced its “Build Your Own AI” strategy, featuring an ecosystem encompassing GPU Cloud, AI development platforms, and AI Agents. The two sides also explored opportunities to combine the technological strengths of Chinese enterprises with FPT’s cloud infrastructure, implementation capabilities, and customer resources in Vietnam to develop localized solutions.

During the meeting with the Foreign Investment Agency, the delegation learned about Vietnam’s investment environment, incentives for high-tech projects, and regulatory matters related to investment registration, foreign exchange management, and emerging technology sectors. Both sides agreed to strengthen connections to support more Chinese enterprises in AI, data centers, smart manufacturing, new energy, and high technology in exploring investment opportunities in Vietnam.

At Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park, the delegation learned about investment priorities in strategic sectors such as AI, semiconductors, smart manufacturing, biotechnology, new energy, and green technology. The participating companies also exchanged views on taxation, land, human resources, and infrastructure support for project implementation.

The delegation meets with the National Innovation Center (NIC)

At the National Innovation Center (NIC), the delegation met with NIC representatives as well as Vietnamese technology companies and organizations to discuss AI, digital transformation, technology cooperation, resource connectivity, and project implementation. Both sides expressed their intention to leverage NIC’s innovation ecosystem and the business networks of Sunwah and GBA Alliance to facilitate more potential technology projects in Vietnam.

From Connectivity to Practical Cooperation

On the morning of August 27, the delegation continued its program with a visit to the Hanoi Department of Science and Technology. Discussions focused on Hanoi’s digital economy development, particularly the application of AI, big data, automation, and digital platforms across manufacturing, finance, education, logistics, culture, and tourism.

Hanoi is advancing digital transformation programs and initiatives such as the “100 Smart Factories” program, creating further opportunities for cooperation in AI, smart manufacturing, digital infrastructure, semiconductors, and industrial digitalization. Both sides agreed to work towards establishing regular communication and project-matching mechanisms, connecting Hanoi’s needs and application scenarios with the technological capabilities and industrial resources of Chinese enterprises.

Through this series of engagements, Sunwah continues to strengthen its role as a bridge connecting Vietnam, Hong Kong, and Mainland China, bringing together resources across government, business, technology, investment, and academia. From policy dialogue and ecosystem connectivity to partnership development and project facilitation, the program laid a stronger foundation for concrete Vietnam–China cooperation in AI, the digital economy, and high technology.
